Start getting ready now for this wilderness adventure. If you love to camp and want to go places that many people will never see this is the trip for you. This is a four day backpacking trip through the San Gabriel mountains. Starting at Vincent Gap off of Highway 2 and hiking through to the East Fork of the San Gabriel River off of Highway 39 each day has new surprises!
The trip dates are June 15th-18th. If you have never gone backpacking, no worries. We will be holding a couple of meetings to get ready for this trip. We will meet in the youth room on Sundays at 10 a.m. before second service on May 31st, and June 7th. If you plan on (more…)
Join us this Friday Night for the movie “Up” in realD. If you are interested in going please sign up in the youth room or e-mail me and let me know. I am going to pre-purchase some tickets so it’s best to bring in your money on Wednesday night.
Be at the church at 6:00 p.m. on Friday the 29th. The cost is $8.00 per person. Bring extra money for snacks or food. We will carpool to Cinema City Theaters for the 7:10 p.m. showing. After the movie we’ll have a group discussion about the themes presented in the movie and how they relate to Christianity. Hope you can make it!!!
Hows it going guys? I just wanted to say what a success the homeless breakfast was. Everything went smoothly and was truly a blessing to all. And just wanna say thank you to Ben and Garrett for setting the example, showing up, and working so hard. I’m super proud of you guys. Hopefully the rest of you can come next time. It’s not everyday we get to share God’s love like that. I promise if you come next time and help you will be blessed.

Meet at Covenant Community Church on Thursday, May 7th at 6p.m. We will be carpooling to Heritage Christian Fellowship for the National Day of Prayer service. I hope you can join us in praying for our schools, community, country, and world. We’ll be back at the church by 8:30 p.m.
“The Art of a Tender Heart”
I hope you can join us for this great retreat/camping trip in Joshua Tree National Park. If you have not been to Joshua Tree National Park you are going to be stoked. Joshua Tree is giant playground full of boulders to climb and crevices to explore. During the day we’ll be hiking, rock climbing, and rappelling. Morning and Night we’ll be participating in worship and Bible studies. The theme for this years trip is “The Art of a Tender Heart”.
Meet at the church at 4p.m. on Friday, May 15th. The cost is $60. We’ll be back at the church on Sunday, May 17th around 6p.m. If you want to go please sign up by; e-mail, sign up sheet, or call the youth office. Join us May 9th as we serve breakfast to the down and out. We will be meeting at Covenant Community at 5:30 a.m. and then heading over to the Santa Ana Civic Center. For a map follow this link. We will be finished around 10 a.m.
If you are available we can use help in food prep the night before. Meet at the church on Friday, May 8th at 4:30 p.m. We will be finished with the prep around 7:30 p.m.

In May we have a full schedule starting out with the National Day of Prayer service at Heritage Christian fellowship in Orange. We will meet at the church on Thursday, May 7th at 6 p.m.
The following Saturday, May 9th we’ll be hosting a homeless breakfast at the Santa Ana Civic Center. Our youth ministry is teaming up with the Villa Park High School Avid class to put on this breakfast. This is a great opportunity not only to serve the homeless breakfast but also to be a witness for Christ to the Villa Park students. We will be meeting at the church at 5:30 a.m. and will be finished by 10 a.m. The youth ministry will need help the night before with food preparation starting at 4:30 p.m. After we are finished with the food prep we’ll finish off the night with a special Bible study and worship time.
The next weekend May 15th through the 17th is the Joshua Tree Retreat. We will be camping in Joshua Tree National Park, hiking, climbing, rappelling, and having a great time! The biblical theme that we will be focusing on is “The art of a tender heart”.
On Friday, May 29th our youth group will be going to see the new Pixar animation “Up”. After the movie we will have a coffee conversation about the world views and biblical themes expressed in the movie. (more…)
